Terms and Conditions for Cater Hub

1. General

The term “Company” refers to Cater Hub and includes any agents, successors, or assignees. The term “Customer” refers to the individual or entity to whom a quotation is addressed or whose order is accepted by the Company. The “goods” refer to products supplied by Cater Hub. By placing an order with the Company, the Customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

2. Limits of Contract

No binding contract exists until an order is confirmed by the Company. All quotes are subject to revision for any errors or omissions.

3. Price

All prices are subject to VAT where applicable and other applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices are quoted at the time of order, but may be subject to changes due to errors, special requests, or modifications.

4. Returns Policy

  • All returns are subject to company discretion
  • Faults must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
  • If Cater Hub cannot repair the item or provide a like-for-like replacement, the Customer is entitled to a full refund.
  • If an item is returned without proper authorization or not in its original condition, the return will be rejected, and the item will be returned to the Customer at their expense.
  • If a customer wishes to return an item after purchase and delivery due to mistake or any other reason, they must cover the the return shipping costs. Alternatively we can arrange collection for a fee.
  • No refunds or returns will be accepted if the item is not in working order

5. Warranty

  • Parts & Labour Warranty Terms & Conditions
  • We are committed to providing high-quality repair, servicing. All work carried out by us is subject to the following warranty terms and conditions.
  • Warranty Period
  • Unless otherwise stated on your invoice or service report:
  • Parts and Labour Warranty: 30 days to 3 months from the date of purchase or delivery.
  • The applicable warranty period will depend on the repair carried out, the replacement parts used, and any manufacturer’s warranty.
  • What is Covered
  • Our warranty covers
  • Faults resulting from our workmanship.
  • Repair or replacement of defective parts covered under warranty, at our discretion.
  • Labour required to rectify a fault covered under this warranty.
  • Commercial Refrigeration Warranty Exclusions
  • This warranty does not cover:
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, or accidental damage.
  • Failure to carry out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
  • Dirty condensers, blocked airflow, or poor ventilation.
  • Refrigerant leaks caused by corrosion, vibration, accidental damage, or existing pipework faults.
  • Electrical faults caused by power surges or faulty customer electrical supplies.
  • Repairs or modifications carried out by third parties.
  • If kitchen is above 32 degrees as this leads compressor overworking and breaking down
  • Faults unrelated to the original repair.
  • Damage caused by flooding, fire, storms, lightning, rodents, or other external events.
  • Commercial Gas Equipment Warranty
  • Our warranty applies to commercial gas catering equipment repaired or serviced by our qualified engineers.
    Covered
  • Faulty replacement parts supplied by us.
  • Defects in workmanship relating to the original repair.
  • Repairs completed in accordance with current Gas Safe regulations.
  • Not Covered
  • The warranty does not cover:
  • Gas appliances that have been tampered with after our visit.
  • Existing faults not identified during the original repair.
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, or poor maintenance.
  • Blocked burners, injectors, filters, or flues caused by lack of cleaning.
  • Customer gas supply issues or low gas pressure.
  • Electrical failures not related to our repair.
  • Damage caused by water ingress, grease contamination, corrosion, or environmental conditions.
  • Repairs carried out by another contractor after our work has been completed.
  • Consumable items unless found to be defective at the time of installation.
  • Warranty Conditions
  • To maintain your warranty:
  • Equipment must be operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Routine servicing and maintenance should be carried out.
  • Equipment must not be modified or repaired by unauthorised persons.
  • Any fault must be reported immediately upon discovery.
  • Proof of purchase or service invoice must be provided.
  • Access to the equipment must be provided for inspection and repair.
  • All gas appliances must be installed by fully gas safe engineer with certificate 
  • Warranty claims must be made within 7 days of the defect becoming apparent.
  • Cater Hub reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund defective goods at their discretion.
  • This warranty only applies if the product has been installed by a fully qualified, certified engineer. If installed otherwise, the warranty is void.
  • Warranty Claims
  • To make a warranty claim, please provide:
  • Your invoice or proof of purchase.
  • Equipment make, model, and serial number (where applicable).
  • A description of the fault.
  • Photographs or videos if requested.
  • We reserve the right to inspect the equipment before approving any warranty claim.
  • Call-Out Charges
  • If our engineer attends and determines that:
  • No fault is found,
  • The fault is unrelated to our previous repair,
  • The issue is excluded from warranty,
  • The warranty period has expired, or
  • The equipment has not been maintained correctly,
    a standard call-out charge, labour, and any replacement parts will be chargeable.
  • Limitation of Liability
  • Our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts or workmanship covered by the warranty.
  • We are not liable for:
  • Loss of business or profits.
  • Food or stock spoilage.
  • Business interruption.
  • Loss of revenue.
  • Any indirect or consequential losses arising from equipment failure.
  • Customers are responsible for protecting refrigerated goods and ensuring safe operation of gas appliances in the event of equipment failure.
  • Statutory Rights
  • This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under applicable law and does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable legislation.

    Please Note: This warranty applies only to the specific repair, service, or replacement parts supplied and fitted by us. It does not extend the original manufacturer’s warranty on the equipment and becomes void if the equipment is altered, repaired, or serviced by an unauthorised third party during the warranty period.

6. Installation Requirements

All items supplied by Cater Hub must be installed by a fully qualified and certified engineer. Failure to comply with this requirement will void any applicable warranties and absolve Cater Hub of any liability for malfunction or damage.

7. Shipping & Handling

We only offer a doorstep delivery service. Items will only be delivered to the doorstep. Customers must inspect goods upon delivery. Any damages must be reported within 24 hours, followed by written notice via email to info@caterhub.co.uk within 48 hours. Failure to do so may result in the Customer being unable to claim for any damages.

8. Loss or Damage in Transit

The Company is not liable for goods lost or damaged during transit unless written notice is provided within 24 hours of delivery.

9. Title and Risk

Title to the goods remains with the Company until full payment is made. Risk passes to the Customer upon delivery.

10. Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only with the written approval of the Company. The Customer will be liable for any losses or costs associated with the cancellation, including a 25% restocking fee if the product has been dispatched.

11. Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for any delays or failures in performing its obligations caused by events outside its control, such as strikes, natural disasters, or transport issues.

12. Liability Limitation

Except in cases of death or personal injury caused by negligence, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or business.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the English or Welsh courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms.

14. Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Company reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice to the Customer.

By purchasing from Cater Hub, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
